We are trying to contact a Beverly Criwell who did a fabulous visualization relaxation tape. It was given to me by a friend so I only have a cassette copy. I would like to buy this tape on CD and would be interested in any other relaxations tapes that Ms. Criswell made. I would appreciate any information you could give me. Thank you Suzanne Cassidy El Paso, Tx 79936

My main question is, if the sun was in Taurus when I was born, why am I a Gemini?
Thank you for asking this question. This is something that is so confusing. It took me a long, long time to fully get the difference myself. The Sun at the time of your birth was in the constellation called Taurus. In Shamanic Astrology, we refer to that constellation as the Bull to help reduce the confusion. So, your Sun was in the constellation of the Bull, but because the signs are seasonal and are determined by the Equinoxes and Solstices they are precessing through the constellations, slowly at the rate of one degree every 72 years. What creates the confusion is that the constellations carry the same name as the signs, but they aren't the same thing. The sign Gemini falls in the seasonal cycle just before the Summer Solstice. Over 26,000 years the sign Gemini will move through all the constellations and is currently overlaying a large part of the constellation of the Bull (a.k.a. Taurus which is the constellation not the sign). So you were born in the seasonal cycle known as Gemini, but the backdrop of the stars behind the Sun at the time of your birth was the stars found in the constellation of the Bull. When the signs move through the constellations the myth and symbols of each particular age shift and change due to the interaction of the seasons archetypal energies with the archetypal energies of the constellations. I hope this helps to clear up the confusion. The main thing to remember is the signs are seasonal and they all move through the constellations over 26,000 years. Naming the constellations different names helps to reduce the confusion.
