I have been told not to start a new relationship while Mercury is in Retrograde because this relationship will have very little chance of succeeding. What is this based on and why and is there any truth to it at all.
I don't necessarily agree that starting a relationship while Mercury is retrograde reduces the chances of the relationship succeeding. In fact, it might just be the perfect timing for beginning a relationship, depending on personal factors. Mercury Retrograde has a notorious reputation for communications breaking down and what you think you are saying to another person is not necessarily what they are hearing. Of course this can happen at any time even when Mercury is not retrograde, but is very common during Mercury's retrograde period. This is because when the planets reverse directions a deepening process is taking place. Everything affects everything else and the planets in the sky are sign posts that helps us to tune into what our own personal processes are about. They guide us and remind us of the great mystery as if unfolds. I am posting a short article on Mercury Retrograde later today which might help to answer your question more fully on the articles page.
Always follow your own inner guidance and trust what you know to be true. We reflect reality to the planets as much as they reflect reality to us. It is a relationship and we are co-creators in that relationship. Knowing more about the sky, the planets and stars and other celestial bodies helps us to be more conscious in our relationship to life, less at the effect of...and more conscious of our choices and participation with the divine design we all carry.
