I'm confused about Venus as a morning star. Can you give me an example of a day when Venus has been a morning star? (I heard that Venus was a morning star on August 11, 1999, for example, yet it was still in Virgo at that time). Also, what does it mean to have Venus as a morning star or an evening star on your natal chart? Finally, what can we expect from that influence (i.e., Venus as morning star or as evening star) on a day or series of days when Venus is in those kinds of position?

Venus rises helically (before the Sun) as a morning star in April, 2001. The last time it rose helically was in August, 1999, but it was not yet a morning star on August 11, 1999. It wasn't until about August 24, 1999 that it made its first appearance as a morning star with a low horizon. Venus spends approx. 260 days as a morning star and 260 days as an evening star. It is currently an evening star and will be until late March, 2001. For more details about the Venus cycle as Morning Star and Evening Star, what it means, how it applies mythically to our lives and the entire Venus cycle I highly recommend the Venus/Mars booklet found in the articles section.
