Yes, Carolyn, I agree! It is now Jan 14, 2003. We have also hired an astrologer to pick wedding dates for us and it has been so difficult! I feel committed to this and yet I think maybe we are meant to ease up on the "perfect" chart for our wedding date -- or even a not so perfect chart ! the 3 dates we got for 2003 in NYC were July 4th 1pm , Oct 5th 10:30am (which is Yom Kippur and won't work for my family!) and June 8th Noon. Even June 8th isn't perfect (Moon goes V/C at 12:27 - 3:30 and it's just 3 degrees past a Mars square Venus) but its not too bad. We began working with June 8th but I found myself so stressed out about it -- becasue it's too soon to do everything that I went to another astrologer friend to get more help with this. She says Higher Power always trumps astrology. And though she agrees that it is best to marry on a waxing moon, avoid Mercury retrograde and definietly don't say "i do" when the moon is void of course -- everything else -- while important if you can get it -- is not worth getting as upset about it as I have! Her suggestion is to pray and meditate deeply on it and to do a Deepak Chopra excercise called "spontaeous correct action". This is where I get really quiet and I "present" the date to my gut and see how it feels in my body. Am I tense or relaxed? www.nancyjnapier.com also has wonderful "future self" tapes that help me to get information from my future self-- who is already married!-- to see what date worked for her. So I am still undecided (though now I am seriously considering Oct 26th, 2003 -- even though the sun, moon and venus are all in Scorpio! (which Is not receommend) but it is a waxing moon, No void of course moon at all that day and No mecury retrograde. Perhaps my honey and I have a lot of transformative healing to do and all that Scorpio would be there for a reason. I don't know but I am certainly open to feedback and suggestions from others who have experinced this! P.S. the reason it is suggested that Mercury retrograde is not so good to get married under is because Mercury is the Ruler of contracts. And Retrograde implies contracts -- going backwards or being un done. Getting Married is after a significant Contract!
