Shamanic
Astrology is an
immensely helpful initiatory tool
bringing us greater awareness and understanding of the mysteries of our intended life purpose, or divine blue
print, or destiny. This system is archetypally,
mythically and experientially based. My commitment is
to this initiation
process for each individual choosing to consciously explore and engage these
evolving mysteries through a personal reading. Shamanic Astrology readings
not only explore the archetypal mysteries you
have come to experience but also provide you with
guidance and support for consciously navigating your current initiation
cycles that are intended to deepen and expand your experience of these mysteries.
I have
learned it is important to honor the flow of life force in all creative processes. Money is
one resource representing this flow of life force energy. The money generated from
readings and events supports and furthers the work of Shamanic Astrology,
which is as an important tool recognizing and
supporting the many different paths of human
fulfillment within the divine plan.
Giving and receiving with gratitude for all the ways we support and honor
each other's gifts magnetizes more abundance and resources for both the
giver and receiver, insuring a healthy balance and continuous flow of
joyous, abundant life force energy.
I am,
also, committed to creating opportunities for all who feel
inspired by and committed to
this initiatory process. A scholarship fund exists for individuals who
desire to receive a reading, but do not have the economic resources to pay the full fee.
Scholarships are designed to support an equitable energy exchange
through some
form service to your community, similar to the "pay it
forward" concept. This is important in
honoring the initiatory energies of Shamanic Astrology readings
and maintaining a healthy balance of giving and receiving.

Shamanic Astrology Consultations with
Carolyn are $175.00 for a 90 minute
in-person or phone reading. Price includes a taped recording of your
reading, plus the natal chart, one year transit chart, and a
one year Sun/Moon Angle chart (these charts retail for $23.00).
Tapes are not guaranteed due to occasional glitches beyond my control. 99%
of the time this is not a problem, but if you'd like a back up tape you
can purchase a phone jack that will plug into your tape player's
microphone (from Radio Shack) and record the reading from your end. Updates and
relationship readings are also available. Reading prices are based on
careful
consideration of the time I spend preparing before actually doing the
reading. 90 minute readings are essential for a first time reading to
adequately cover the natal chart and current transits
for the next 12 months from the Shamanic
Astrology perspective. If you have already had
an initial Shamanic Astrology reading updates covering
the transits, current relationships, and other factors that go more deeply
into the chart are available. 60 minute updates
are recommended as a minimum and are $144.

updates for $80, and
90 minute updates for $175.

It is
beneficial to read the Introduction
to Shamanic Astrology Preparation for a Personal Reading to get a clear
sense of exactly what is covered in your Shamanic Astrology reading. Please
contact me either through email or phone (contact info
below) to schedule a
reading time. I can usually schedule within three to four weeks, sometimes
sooner. Please send payment for your reading prior to your scheduled
appointment. Click

bottom of this page. Also, be sure to send your birth information, date,
time (as close as possible) and place of birth along with any questions
you would like me to consider prior to the reading. It is helpful to send
along a personal picture, which I can return when I send you your tape if
you request it. I have also found including a brief written life history
along with current concerns and questions prior to your reading helps to
begin the process of understanding the archetypal patterns as they are
expressing for you. This bio
is not a requirement but is highly recommended.
The questions and
concerns are also helpful to have when I prepare the charts. One way to
approach this process is to begin the writing by setting your intent for
the reading and then write whatever comes to you from that place. Some
people write a paragraph and others write several pages. Whatever you feel
inspired to write will help to direct the focus of the reading.
What you will find is the more you consciously participate
with the initiatory process of a Shamanic Astrology reading the more you
will experience the potency and magic of these mysteries.
AutoBiography:
Carolyn Brent
My awareness of
the deeper mysteries of life began even before my parents introduced me to The Rosicrucians at age 3, the Unity Church at age 4, and Transcendental Meditation at age
16. Around age 3 I began asking questions my mother
wasn't sure how to answer such as; "If God created us, then how did God get
born?" and "What about the meaning of time?
Everything I have just said is now history. Everything that happens
instantly becomes history. What's the point? Why are we here if it all
instantly is becoming history?"
In 1975 at age 19 I went to Fairfield, Iowa to work and attend what was then known as
Maharishi International University (MIU) associated with
Transcendental Meditation and the Science of Creative Intelligence.
There I studied and experienced expanded states of consciousness and
participated in a collective goal of creating world peace. In 1978, I
moved to Arizona where I continued my education in many forms, attending
ASU (Arizona State University
in Tempe) for a short
time, moving to Tucson in 1979. However, I have to say the most challenging and growth producing education has been my journey into motherhood that began in 1982 with the birth of
my oldest son.
In 1985 I gave birth to boy/girl twins and in 1990 my youngest son
was born.
It was
also in 1990
just two weeks before Jeremy was born when I met Daniel Giamario and
was inspired by a workshop he was giving on Shamanic
Astrology. Passionately desiring to learn more I began studying
Shamanic Astrology with
Daniel. This lead me to co-author The Shamanic Astrology Handbook
with Daniel in 1993/94. My apprenticeship with Shamanic Astrology
was initially inspired by my desire to know more about it as a personal
tool for myself. I didn't set out to create this as a livelihood, but
somehow events kept moving me more and more into that role. By 1998,
motivated by my continuing success in Shamanic Astrology along with
several others, Daniel formulated the apprenticeship
program. We are continuing to work on
new projects to further expand the As Above, So Below mysteries from the
perspective of Shamanic Astrology and the direct experience of these
mysteries. In addition to these projects, I began
writing a monthly article on the
Celestial Timings enlivening
awareness of our direct connection to the sky in 1996.
Over the past several
years I have integrated my work with Shamanic Astrology in womens, and
other community, circles including expressions as an Isis
Priestess, a Madonna Minister,
a Moneta Magdalene, and a
Reiki
Master. I accomplished this in part through grounding the As Above, So Below mysteries
in ceremonial mythical expression.
This work has also included studying peacebearer consciousness through the Global Citizen
University, recognizing the power of
the individual to make a difference in creating world peace through fully
remembering our inner divine presence.
Recently, prompted by
strong Saturn and Pluto cycles I have released all of these previous
identities, opening to new
energies. My current intent is to weave these
many various experiences together to serve as a model for honoring
all the diverse and valid expressions we have for being
human, while also deepening our relationship with nature, through a greater
understanding of the natural cycles and rhythms of Earth and Sky. However, I
am now aware that my most important intent is to live my life with loving
passion and ecstatic joy
while also experiencing
the magic of the Great
Mystery of life.
Although, I do not claim to be
a Shaman, I have had several life changing shamanic experiences or initiations. You can read about one of
these initiations on Merilyn Massey's
memorial website. This is the story of how I mid-wifed
my mother's conscious death process and
deepened my own conscious journey with the death mysteries.
 Carolyn lives in Tucson, Arizona with her
husband
Jeffrey, (a professional web designer who designed,
maintains, and hosts this web site*) and their
four children ages 20 (in July), twins 17 (in March) and youngest 12 (in
May) in 2002.
