This page will feature information about
some of the fixed stars and constellations that are often referred to
in the Celestial Timings with the intent to expand awareness of what
these stars (and their star codes) have to share with us.
The Pleiades are among the most known
and noted group of stars in the sky, although unlike many constellations
from Earths perspective they are but a small cluster of 6 visible stars,
with a seventh that is more illusive without binoculars or a telescope.
Indeed, with current technology there are far more than the 6 or 7 stars
associated with this cluster. Our current understanding of the sky locates
the Pleiades on the Shoulder of the Bull. The Greek version claims the
Pleiades were the daughters of Atlas, Electra, Maia, Taygete, Alcyone,
Merope, Celaeno, and Sterope. Maia, Electra and Alcyone are the only
ones I could find any info about. Maia was the mother of Hermes, messenger
of the gods. Electra was the mother of Dardanus, the founder of the
Trojan race.* Alcyone according to Dr. Eric Morse in his book The Living
Stars is an Atlantaean nymph, queen to Poseidon and mother of the later
King Hyrieus. Another name for Alcyone was the Bright One. Richard
Allens book, Star Names sites many ancient writers and their many varied
references to the Pleiades as: rosette of diamonds, golden bees, necklace,
Pearl Rosette (as a seal of immortality), a silken sash decked with
gems, a Kimah, or a cluster, or heap, and the seven sisters.* Other
names are the Golden Cluck Hen and her five chicks, a Herd of Camels,
and natives of the Tonga Islands called the Pleiades Matarii or the
Little Eyes. In Star Names, Allen quotes
The two seasons of the year were divided
by the Pleiades; the first, Matarrii i nia, the Pleiades Above, commence
when, in the evening, those stars appeared on the horizon and continued
while, after sunset, they were above. The other Season, Mararrii i raro,
the Pleiades Below, began when, at sunset, they ceased to be visible,
and continued till, in the evening they appeared again above the horizon.
Allen further references the Pleiades
connection to the Nile, thought to represent the great Goddess Neith,
a principle deity of Lower Egypt, that the Greeks called Athene, and
the Romans, Minerva. Neith was self begotten and mother of Ra, a sky
goddess associated with war, wisdom and the domestic arts. Her symbol
was two crossed arrows on a shield. Many Greek Temples were oriented
to the Pleiades, some for their rising including the Parthenon and Hecatompedon.
Some Temples were oriented toward their setting such as the temple of
Bacchus in Athens, Ascelpieion at Epidaurus and Sunium.*
He also lists references to the Pleiad-month that begins on
the day of midnight culmination about November 17. The rising and setting
of the Pleiades has been a significant Celestial Timing indicator for
agricultural tribes as they marked the beginning and ending of growing
seasons. Hippocrates divided the year into four seasons based on the
Pleiades and their relationship to the Sun.*
The book Stars of the First People
by Dorcas S. Miller lists various Native American tribes who variously
saw the Pleiades as: prophets, Coyotes daughters, Hearts of the First
People, Eight Wise Men, Children who Announce Dawn, Little Foxes, Hole
in the Sky, Women with Children, Racoons children, Seed Stars, and
so on.
Allen also indicates the Pleiades were
associated with the Seven Doves that carried ambrosia to the infant
Zues. In William Henrys book The Peacemaker and The New Key of
Life, much is said about the Pleiades and their connection to
doves. Most of this lore centers around the Mother symbol of the dove
(the Pleiades being the home of the Dove-goddesses, or Hathors) who
guarded the gate to the central point of heaven, Tula. He goes on
to say, Understanding the Pleiades as the star gate to Tula explains
why in many religious traditions the soul transforms into a dove at
death... Henry says Tula is the name of the dwelling of the Lord.
It also refers to our understanding of Heaven on Earth, Shambala, the
New Jerusalem and the Great Central Sun our true home where we all eventually
return.
Before finding all this information I
had my own experience or sense of the Pleiades as an interdimensional
stargate. The Mayans apparently felt the same way and built the pyramid
at Chichen Itza to track the cycle of the constellation and its relationship
with the Sun. This pyramid carries serpent medicine symbolized by the
shadows formed on the pyramid at the Equinoxes of a large undulating
serpent. The month of May marks the conjunction of the Pleiades with
the Sun and due to the latitude where this pyramid rests, the Sun reaches
the Zenith (exactly overhead) at Noon (about May 20 to May 23) and no
shadows are cast on the pyramid. This is referred to as the days of
no shadows. The Mayans knew that approximately every 26,000 years the
Pleiades would be with the Sun when it reached its annual Zenith. They
saw this as the opening of the star gate portal when the rattle or tale
of the snake moved into place, the Pleiades being the rattle of the
snake. The Sun activates and illuminates the stargate when they are
together at the zenith, like the combination of a lock falling into
place. We are currently very close to this exact alignment and the portal
is already beginning to open.
In 2000, Jupiter and Saturn called our
attention to the Pleiades. Saturn remains in this area of the sky for
much of 2001, with Jupiter now well beyond the Pleiades approaching
the Hyades and Aldebaran. To get your own feel for this area of the
sky, it helps to connect with it visually. The Moon passes by here once
each month and the Celestial Timings alerts us to when this is happening.
By May, however they will no longer be visible for about 40 days
as they travel with the Sun.

Moon,
Pluto and the fixed star Antares, the heart of the Scorpion. Again we
are working with the energy of the heart, life force, passion, serpents,
dragons, the dragon priestesses, and the ley lines of earth and sky.
One of my favorite images of Antares is as the heart of the Dragon.
According to Richard Allen Hinkleys book
Star Names, Their Lore and Meaning
the Chinese linked Anatares with the Azure Dragon. Another image confirmed
both in Allens book and De Traci Regulas book
The Mysteries of Isis. Says, Among the stars named after Isis is
Antares, which was associated with Selkit, the scorpion goddess who
was sometimes depicted in the Isian headdress. Antares was associated
with Isis in the ceremonies conducted in conjunction with the great
pyramid complex at Giza, where she bore the special title of Lady of
the Pyramids. When considering the great Pyramids are specially designed
initiation chambers that are oriented to access the mysteries of the
heavens and ground them on the Earth, we get a deeper sense of the total
transformational power of this rare alignment of Pluto, Chiron and Antares.
These are transformative energies, initiating Shamanic Death, Transformation,
and Rebirth. The potency of their combined alchemy works at a deep cellular,
atomic and sub-atomic level. Once the caterpillar becomes the butterfly,
the butterfly never returns to being a caterpillar. The transformation
is irreversible and complete.
The Hyades were the daughters of Atlas
and Aethra in Greek myth. The Hyades are half sisters to the Pleiades
and were known as the rainy stars because their morning and evening
setting was linked to the rainy season. Aldebaran is seen as separate
from the Hyades and yet is found in this constellation that is within
the constellation of the Bull. Constellations with constellations, circles
within circles. Aldebaran is also known as one of the four royal stars,
watcher of the East (Antares, Regulus and Fomalhuat are the other royal
stars) and Aldebaran is linked with arch-angel Michael (a.k.a angel
of light and protection). Once about every 12 years Jupiter passes by
this area of the sky expanding these codes of light into our conscious
awareness. Once each, month the Moon marks this area and highlights
these star codes. This is a great time to tune in and open to receive
the expansive incoming mysteries.
