This article is a follow up to ‘All Planets In Direct Motion’ (APDM) first published in NCGR member letter Jan. 2010. You may recall APDM is a new description or classification for any kind of chart where ‘all the planets are in direct motion’. APDM is a term that also defines a very specific planetary cycle, one without retrogrades, and that can be determined by the Ephemeris.

Hi Stephanie, I enjoyed your article and found it very interesting, especially as I have a natal chart which is APDM. However, I would say that my experience does not match the sense of out-there self-confidence to be expected with APDM. Although I began my life with a certain boldness and have always tended to have a strong inner sense of self, I have definitely struggled mightily with low self-esteem, most likely initiated by a life-threatening experience as a baby, and corresponding PTSD. Learning to be ok with self-visibility has been a lifelong developmental task. I note that all my planets are found in the northern hemisphere except Uranus in the 12th house, Saturn/Pluto are conjunct in the 2nd house, and my Moon/Sun phase is New Moon (with an almost exact conjunction conjunct the IC). thanks, kathleen
