Introduction:

These are times of tremendous change!  Times that require each of us to fully enter into our power, times when it is more possible to realize our true nature. These are the times that many have been waiting for and many others have feared would come. A time when evolutionary forces are focused on this plane of experience calling us forward, out of ourselves and further into ourselves.

As the winter solstice point, through precession, reaches the Galactic Center, it is marking a culmination point in a great 26,000 year cycle of evolution. This is more than a �New Age� which occurs approximately every 2000 years. It relates directly to the shift that occurred 6500 years ago (26,000/4) from matriarchal to our current patriarchal societies. It portends an awakening from the slumbers of unconscious separation into a conscious awareness of the unity of life (visible and invisible). This, then, is the time when we can more easily express spirit through matter thus uniting what has been experienced as separate for centuries, even epochs on planet earth. Our sense of time is quickening which allows for more growth and a greater expansion of our awareness within a given lifetime. This rapid evolutionary growth can lead to a new awareness of ourselves as multi-dimensional beings existing within different dimensions simultaneously. For others who are resistant to change these times will be increasingly filled with stress, fear, and foreboding as the structures of the past no longer create the security they once did.

We are born out of a spiritual world of Unity and Oneness into this physical, 3rd dimensional reality of duality and polarization. The archetypes and mystery schools illuminated by Shamanic Astrology help us find our way through the maze of possible experiences on this plane. They shed light on the sources of our past conditioning (where, when and why), as well as describing the tools we�ve given ourselves this lifetime to penetrate and explore this dimension. The birthchart is also, and perhaps most importantly, a map of our unconscious soul intention for coming to this planet at this time, with these people, and in this society in the first place. Through Shamanic Astrology the point of the game is revealed.

Shamanism itself seeks to integrate the celestial world with the underworld and middle realm. This integration is based upon an acceptance without judgment of the validity and value of our experiences within each of these realms and of other people. It requires that we trust ourselves and life, that we remain vulnerable to the unknown, and open to experience the whole range of human feeling.

Shamanic Astrology can be a path toward self-awakening in and of itself. A personal reading can bring forth new insight, understanding, and inspiration for life. It can affirm what we already know at our deepest soul level, empowering us to further open to our path; our future. By helping us connect to the deeper rhythms of our life and the natural world we live, it nourishes and strengthens our resolve while bringing more joy and greater love into our lives.

Biography:

I have been fascinated by and actively using astrology for over 25 years. During that time I have studied the cosmology of Rudolf Steiner, the cosmobiology of Ebertin, Edgar Cayce, Uranian astrology, Vedic, Tropical, and Evolutionary astrology. I have found more heart, more acceptance of the full spectrum of human experience, and a deeper connection to all natural life through Shamanic Astrology. I find it fully reflects my own personal values, which include expanding my consciousness outside the realm of the strictly human. I desire relationship to, and awareness of, mineral, plant, and animal consciousness, as well as off-planet, celestial, and spiritual consciousness. I bring this desire and its results with me into each of my readings and talks.

I began writing articles, teaching, and speaking on astrological topics a number of years ago. Please see �A New Look at the Sun� article on this website. For me, the path of evolution is a path of feeling; of quieting the mind and inward listening. It is a path of creation; of seeing life as a mirror reflecting my own internal self. A path of taking responsibility for what I have created and helping others to create a life they can love.

Personally, I grew up in a family of eight in Chicago and moved to California as soon as I could! I have a teaching background in Waldorf education and have three teenagers of my own at home. I live on the American River Canyon in a yurt and totally enjoy nature, the river, trees, and the Sun! In addition to astrology, I love to build things like straw bale houses, play guitar and sing, drum, and am working on learning the didgeridoo.

Shamanic Astrology Consultations with Tom

Sixty-minute first time readings are $125 for either an in-person or phone reading. Price includes a taped recording of your reading, plus the natal chart, and a one-year transit.

Sixty-minute relationship readings are available for $150 and may extend beyond 60 minutes according to need.  The cost would then be pro-rated accordingly.

After you have had and initial reading with me sixty-minute update readings are $100.

Tapes are not guaranteed due to occasional technical glitches beyond my control. 99% of the time this is not a problem, but if you'd like a back up tape you can purchase a phone jack that will plug into your tape player's microphone (from Radio Shack) and record the reading from your end.
