October 2003 Celestial Timings

Intense control dramas of all kinds, whether they are violent or just perverse and strange addictions, come from environments where life is so abusive, dysfunctional and constrictive, and the level of Fear is so great, that they spawn this same rage and anger or perversion over and over, generation after generation. The individuals who are born into these situations choose to do so on purpose, with clarity�because they were sure they had enough strength to break out, to end the cycle, to heal the family system in which they would be born.
They were confident that they could awaken and work through the resentment and anger
at finding themselves in these deprived circumstances, and see it all as a preparation for a mission�usually one of helping others out of similar situations�

One of the gifts of Shamanic Astrology, at the Turning of the Ages, is in seeing how our natal chart reflects the choice or intention individuals have made to end the cycles of abuse and dysfunction by choosing family and social conditions that are entrenched in old limiting and abusive patterns and when transformed where the new healthy energies are intended to express now.  It is time to remember why we are here and why we have chosen the circumstances we have, forgiving ourselves and those involved. This is especially true when we consider the current transit of the Shamanic Healer Chiron through Capricorn (archetypally linked with the rules and how spirit comes into form last in this area of the sky 50 years ago) and the master creator of new structures and forms Saturn through Cancer (archetypally linked with compassionate and responsible nurturing of family and home last in this area of the sky about 30 years ago). For the next several months with the assistance of Chiron and Saturn we have an additional opportunity to not only heal both the dysfunctional family and social systems we have inherited but to consciously create new healthy forms based in love and cooperation that will not only sustain life on this planet but will support a thriving experience for all. Releasing fear of lack that promotes greed and the need to survive at the expense of the well being of others is an important step. What we are remembering is when we cooperate and share our resources with one another there is plenty for all. In Dec 2001 Celestial Timings I shared about a Star Trek Voyager episode that brilliantly demonstrates the powerful potential of enacting caring cooperation among different races and even species of intelligent life. The story begins when Voyager is unwillingly pulled into a Void, where it turns out other lost ships are struggling to survive. When Voyager first arrived they were instantly attacked by one of the other ships and 90% of their food and supplies were stolen. Voyager�s crew soon discovered the other ships already in the void survived by stealing supplies from each other and stealing from new unsuspecting ships the moment they accidentally stumbled in the void.

When Voyager�s crew discovered they did not have enough power to leave the Void on their own Captain Janeway decided to try and form an alliance with the other ships based on the principle of cooperation. Janeway proposed to the other ships that they all pool their resources and technologies and find a way out of the Void together. It was difficult to convince the other ships this was a good idea, but eventually several ships did risk joining the alliance, shared their resources and technology and they were all able to leave the Void together. Those who refused to join the alliance due to their entrenched patterns of fear were left in the Void to continue as they had before.

This story demonstrates the power of cooperation and working in community to achieve what otherwise might seem impossible. Some of the ships had been in the Void for years, barely surviving by competing for the limited supplies and resources that might wander in through other lost ships. Living from competition had created separation, distrust, hatred and loss of resources that could have benefited everyone had they chosen to live in cooperation with one another. The ships that chose to cooperate with each other ultimately changed their lives moving their existence from the experience of lack in the Void into an expansive and abundant world. Cooperation unifies and strengthens the greater whole, moving us from mere survival into a whole new world of possibilities. The transits of Saturn and Chiron through the Cancer Capricorn domain provide us with an opportunity for shamanic healing of the current system and the healthy creation of a new one. The question is: are we ready to wake up and heal the family and social systems that are based in competition for survival, moving into new systems that are based in cooperation, recognizing we all have a right and a responsibility to thrive together? This is not easy requiring tremendous trust and a willing to take a leap of faith into new territory.

This concept is further supported by the transit of Saturn through the constellation of the Twins, a.k.a as Gemini. (See Difference between Signs and Constellations) The fixed stars Castor and Pollux form the head of the Twins and the fixed star Alhena marks the left foot of Pollux and the fixed star Tejat Posterior marks the right heal of Castor.  These four stars together among others form what looks like a Roman numeral two and symbolizes the gateway of duality where the ancients believed that souls entered this world. Saturn and the Twins are rising just around mid-night as the October begins and then around 9 pm by month�s end providing opportunities for visual connection with this area of the sky. Saturn will retrograde on the day of the Scorpio New Moon (Oct 25) retracing its steps back to the feet twins before going direct in March, 2004. One way to work with this symbol is to recognize the experience of duality and to consciously choose to create new structures and new forms based in a world that recognizes the illusion of duality and promotes the experience of unity with all life. How do we create a world where everyone has the opportunity to have their basic needs easily met? What is our personal responsibility to help create effective and efficient use of our resources in ways that benefit us now and for the next seven generations? In past Timings I shared there is evidence of tribal cultures who lived in such a way they only had to work about 15 hours a month to provide all their basic needs and the rest of the time they spent in some from of creative expression including creating ways to ceremonially celebrate life. So this lets us know it has been done and it can be done again if we are willing to let go and let it be what it needs to be.

October Sky

Mars is still the main feature in the evening sky this month having dimmed considerably since its closest approach on August 27. Mars is located just above the fixed star Fomalhaut the mouth of the fish and is passing through the water droplets of the Waterbearer. For those who have seen the image of Kwan Yin standing on the dragon with a water jar pointed toward the dragon�s mouth this area of the sky is very much linked to that imagery. Fomalhaut is one of the four royal stars, watcher of the south and associated with archangel Gabriel, the messenger. (See Oct 6) Venus is now visible in the western sky after Sunset though she is still difficult to see unless you have a low horizon line and maybe a pair of binoculars. Saturn (now nearly 13 Cancer) is located in between the Twins and is zodiacally aligned with the fixed star Sirius. (See intro)  Jupiter is rising about 2 � hours before the Sun as October begins and 4 � hours before the Sun by months end. Also very much worth noting in the morning sky is Regulus, the heart of the lion, above and slightly to the upper right of Jupiter. Mercury who was easy to spot in the morning sky at the end of September is technically visible until Oct 13 located below and slightly to the left of Jupiter. Mercury is rapidly widening the distance between the two planets until Mercury disappears in the predawn glow traveling with the Sun for about 29 days starting around Oct 13. Then Mercury will arise as a evening star around Nov 10. The waxing Moon will again occult Mars on Oct 6 as it did last month visible in Tasmania, New Zealand, and most of Antarctica.  The tiny waxing crescent Moon also occults Venus on Oct 26 visible in Hawaii, Central America and most of southern South America. In North America we will see the waxing crescent Moon close to the lower left of Venus as they set. The Moon will be within 6 degrees of Saturn on October 16 and only 2 degrees to the lower right of Pollux at dawn on Oct 18. The waning crescent Moon rises to the lower left of Jupiter on Oct 22. On October 20 the Orionid meteor shower is hindered once the Moon rises about an hour or so after midnight.

Week of Oct 1 - 8 The Capricorn First Quarter Moon window is Oct 1, 2 and 3 The waxing half full Moon represents the balance between light and dark and is the most visible growth phase of the Moon. This Moon phase brings our conscious awareness to the threshold of initiation that accelerates the expansive growth process, and relates to the phase of the hero�s journey where he or she enters the zone of magnified power suggesting this is the best time to put our ideas and plans into action. The Moon waxes or gains in light until reaching its full phase in Aries on Oct 10.

Oct 1, Wednesday. Waxing Moon in Capricorn is crossing the Galactic Plane where the Winter Solstice Sun currently rises marking the Turning of the Ages. This Galactic Gateway is where new creatively inspired energies pour into this dimensional realm. Capricorn is the archetypal mystery school that is most familiar with how spirit manifests into form and how to most efficiently, effectively and responsibly administrate these forms of manifestation for the benefit of the next seven generations to follow. 

Oct 2, Thursday, The Capricorn First Quarter Moon (9Capricorn) represents a rapid growth acceleration of what was seeded in some earlier cycle. This is time to take decisive action. Of all the mystery schools, Capricorn when healthy understands and utilizes the most effective and efficient pathways for manifesting spirit into form. The underlying principle of Capricorn that maybe useful to remember as we revision and recreate the structure of our world can be summed up in this saying from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi of the Transcendental Meditation movement; �Do Less and Accomplish More!�

Oct 3, Friday. Retrograde Neptune (10Aquarius30) is reaching its trine to the Sun signaling Neptune�s dramatic slowing and then station direct on Oct 22, 2003. Neptune is nearly stopped in the sky moving only 6 minutes between now and Oct 22 stationing at 10Aquarius24. This deepens even more the inner process of Neptune intending to further develop intuitive knowing and the qualities of inspired dreaming. In Aquarius this process is often unexpected and revolutionary shifting our current personal and collective assemblage point in ways that facilitate liberating change. In this case the assemblage point represents the core beliefs that our reality is organized around. The Neptunian shift often occurs through confusion. What once seemed so clear suddenly is hazy. A fog rolls in and the clearly defined landscape of the mind is muted or invisible. Trusting and surrendering to your inner knowing is the only accurate guide available now.

Oct 4, Saturday, The Moon enters Aquarius just after mid-night and conjuncts Neptune later today helping to illuminate the shifting inner assemblage point. If our beliefs are assembled around limited outmoded views then this can be an uncomfortable time as those beliefs are being dissolved in the approaching Still Point of Neptune on Oct 22. The Still Point is that mysterious place between realities, where there is absolute stillness between moving one direction or another, between the visible and the invisible where everything exists in an infinity point before it begins to differentiate or move into form. The Still Point exists beyond duality and it is not limited by time or space. Neptune archetypally already operates in a place of formless form also known as the field of all possibilities where dreams originate and ideas shapeshift in and out of our consciousness unless we are quick enough to formulate them into words, and then action, with an intent to ground these ideas and vision into a concrete expression. Today Mercury passes the degree it stationed retrograde at on Aug 28^th completing Mercury�s long passage through this area of the sky.

Oct 5, Sunday.  Today we enter the window of the Sun (13 Libra) Saturn (13 Cancer) square. Saturn governs matter as it comes into form and also represents the wise and ancient ones who know the rules of how things work in third-dimensional reality. The Sun brings to light any emotional stress or issues due to lingering limiting beliefs that do not ultimately support your emotional needs. What adjustments help support and respect your internal and external emotional needs for security and comfort? How can we each let go of the limiting beliefs based on the concept that we need to compete for limited resources that will ensure our survival? What are we willing to risk in letting go of old beliefs and ways of being that limit our experience? Patiently taking time to look carefully at our true priorities and making more conscious choices helps create new structures that support our changing needs.

Oct 6, Monday. The Moon enters Pisces this morning energizing the mysteries of the compassionate heart, reminding us to not only have compassion for others but especially to have compassion for our own challenges and wounds, loving and accepting who we are even though we may not feel we are perfect or acceptable in some way. This Pisces Moon is occulting Mars today and is visible in Tasmania, New Zealand, and most of Antarctica. An occultation occurs when the Moon or some other planet passes over another star or planet. In this case the Moon passes over Mars causing Mars to disappear for awhile. The definition of �occult� is rooted in Old English, Greek, and Old German words that mean concealed, covered, hidden and secret, and is associated with the supernatural. Astronomically speaking the definition of occultation means �covered.� So in essence the mysteries of Mars are being covered and uncovered today bringing to light the hidden mysteries of the masculine principle in the Pisces domain of compassion and union with the divine. This is an interesting time to tune in to the hidden mysteries of the divine within ourselves, possibly including insights into the quest for the Holy Grail within. Mars is currently passing through the area of the sky of the Water Bearer (a.k.a. Oct 7, Tuesday. Mercury moved into Libra yesterday traveling through the Libra domain for about 18 days moving into Scorpio on Oct 24. Messenger Mercury in Libra centers around the mysteries of conscious equal partnership in harmony and balance with all life. We exist in relationship to the Earth and Sky, each other, and to all that is seen and unseen. Mercury is the messenger and can bring answers to questions relating to the mysteries of its current placement in the sky. How conscious are you of your interrelatedness to every aspect of creation? Are you engaging a conscious relationship with yourself and others? Are your relationships rewarding, fulfilling, expansive, and fun? If not what needs to change? Now is a great time to deepen your experience in relationships and in your communication with others.

Oct 8, Wednesday. Waxing nearly Full Moon entering Aries this afternoon is energizing the mysteries of trust, spontaneity and courage emphasized by the Aries Archetype of the Warrior/Adventurer/Explorer. Spontaneous decisive action based on trusting the in-the-moment intuitive process for inner guidance helps direct and support the courageous authentic actions of this timing. Venus (29 Libra) trines Uranus (29 Aquarius) suggesting innovative and unique expressions of conscious equal partnership are possible when we are tuned in and willing to experiment with the inspiration coming through at this time.

Week of Oct 9 - 16 This week features the Aries Harvest Full Moon (Oct 10) symbolizing the fulfillment, or fruition, of the seeds planted at the New Moon of some earlier cycle. The elements of the hero/ine�s quest as described by Joseph Campbell in his book Hero With A Thousand Faces assists in deepening our understanding of ways to attune to the essence of the Moon Phases. The New Moon phase is similar to the Call To Adventure alerting the Hero/ine that an initiatory journey is about to take place. The First Quarter Moon phase is similar to the crossing of the threshold into the zone of magnified power where the journey or initiation takes place. The Full Moon Phase relates to the Mystical Marriage or Apotheosis where the goal of the journey is achieved. Apotheosis is defined by Webster�s as the: Exaltation to divine rank or stature; deification. This is the phase in the cycle where we have an opportunity to remember and experience our divinity. The Moon begins to wane this week representing the integration and dissemination of the gifts received at the Full Moon. The annual Aries Full Moon illuminates what we stand for, and what we choose to defend or protect for the benefit of the cosmic order of life. This full Moon asks what level of action are we willing to engage that supports the complete fulfillment of that commitment?

Oct 9, Thursday. Venus moves into Scorpio today where she remains until Nov 2 activating the mysteries of death and rebirth and the aspect of the Goddess (Kali, Hecate, Pele, Cerridwen, the Cretan Snake Goddess, etc.) that destroys what is necessary and timely, making room for something new to birth, acting from compassion, love and wisdom in alignment with the natural cycles and rhythms of life. Last Nov 7 Venus rose as a Morning Star to begin a new 584-day cycle exploring and integrating the Scorpio archetype of the Shaman Sorceress into the collective feminine psyche of humanity. The Sorceress/Witch is not evil or bad, but rather she knows how to connect with her own eternal divine source to bring spirit into matter for the purpose of serving divine will in ways that are passionately ecstatic and alive. This archetype has been largely repressed at least as far back as the witch burnings when many were accused of evil doings (mostly women and some men) because they stood strong in the power of who they were. In order to survive, Scorpio became a secretive archetype, hiding its magic and power even though that was not the original essence of the Scorpio mysteries. It is time the power and potency of this energy be recognized, accepted for its gifts and utilized in ways that support the fulfillment of divine will. Remembering the Scorpio mantra �I will, my will, by thy will� helps to further empower these mysteries in finding healthy expression in this dimension. Tonight marks the fullest rise of the Moon reaching the exact Full Moon just after mid-night Pacific Time.

Oct 10, Friday. This Aries Full Moon features a cardinal grand cross with the Sun (17 Libra), Moon (17 Aries), Saturn (13 Cancer), and Chiron (13 Capricorn) supporting our commitment to initiating actions that are healing our personal wounds and helping to structure a new world based in loving cooperation that helps to facilitate our personal and planetary ascension process. The Cardinal Cross activates the Householder energies of personal identity (Aries) family identity (Cancer) relationship identity (Libra) and community identity (Capricorn). The Cardinal signs are often described as active, initiating and creative, encouraging the planets traveling through them to act. In the case of pure Aries this action can be spontaneous and impulsive, pioneering and innovative. Integrating and utilizing all these energies simultaneously is challenging and can feel stressful. Remembering Saturn�s alignment with Sirius and calling upon the Sirian energies of transformation through visual connection and meditation upon this area of the sky can help facilitate the active changes seeking expression through us at this time.

Oct 11, Saturday. Waning Moon enters Taurus early this afternoon activating the mysteries of enjoying and savoring sacred pleasure and beauty as our divine heritage. The Sun (18 Libra) is sextiling Pluto (18 Sag) signaling the approaching Sun Pluto conjunction occurring on Dec 11. Whatever was seeded at the last Sun Pluto conjunction in Dec 2002 is reaching a completion phase. This is time to note all transformative progress, validating and solidifying the experiences that originate from the authentic core self. It is helpful to embrace any lingering shadow issues including the fears and judgments and forgotten or denied skills and abilities we carry while also noting that the Sun is providing fuel for the transformation to occur. This is an excellent timing to again embrace the truth of our being with loving forgiveness where needed, transforming these shadowed elements into our greatest gifts bringing to light their wealth as the medicine we carry.

Oct 12, Monday. When Mercury (10 Libra) trines Neptune (10 Aquarius) the use of creative imagination and intuitive visioning is heightened. Trines are not generally a fast moving energy. Whenever an outer planet (with the exception of Mars) trines the Sun the planet is nearly stopped in the sky having either just turned retrograde or about to turn direct. This is in the Still Point window where all possibilities exist and so although there is not much happening in the external world of a trine the internal process is at maximum potency. Thus these kinds of aspects are great for meditating or doing any practice that supports inner visioning. Whenever Mercury is involved chances of an inner message or internal download of information is also possible.

Oct 13, Monday. Moon moves into in Gemini at 3:45 pm Pacific Time illuminating the mysteries that take us beyond ordinary reality, beyond the limiting rules of this dimension, beyond rational and linear thought processes. This is the domain of the coyote trickster who encourages us to let go of pre-conceived ideas and beliefs and reminds us things are not as real as they appear. Passing through the Sacred Hoop over the next few days the Moon is approaching Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull, and by tomorrow night it will appear just beyond Aldebaran at Moonrise. We can see the Moon approaching Aldebaran tonight and it will have moved beyond this star by tomorrow night. In some cultures Aldebaran was considered the all seeing �eye of god� and has associations with the restoration of the original perfection of the Earth. http://www.eclipse.co.uk/solarspirit/maynov2003.html With the Moon marking Aldebaran in the night sky this is a great time to tune into these energies asking for the restoration of the purity and perfection of our own hearts. This is especially significant when we consider that Earth is an anagram for heart when we take the �h� off of earth and place at the beginning of the word we get heart.

Oct 14, Tuesday. Mercury (13 Libra) squares Saturn (13 Cancer). calling our attention to the messages occurring now that are designed to focus our awareness on the structures that either support or limit a deeper experience of ourselves. Openhearted willingness to be present with what is presenting in our reality, particularly in regard to all types of communication, helps facilitate transformation of our personal and collective perception intending to further empower our co-created reality.

Oct 15, Wednesday. The Moon moves into Cancer tomorrow morning crossing the center point of the Sacred Hoop where the June Solstice Sun now rises. The Moon passes through the Sacred Hoop once each month and will meet with Saturn, on Friday Oct 17. Saturn has been transiting through the Sacred Hoop for over a year now and is visible in the constellation of the Twins. Remember Saturn is slowing to station retrograde on October 25 and will retrace its steps back to the feet of the Twins. (See intro) Checking out this area of the sky can inspire your own connection to the mysteries unfolding in this Celestial Dance.

Oct 16, Thursday. The Moon crosses the Galactic Anti-Center as it slips into Cancer at 4:41 am Pacific Time. Tracking the Moon now gives us an opportunity to look out into deep space away from our Milky Way Galaxy. The Moon is rising around 10 pm local time depending on your horizon line and in the South Eastern Sky Sirius will be rising not long after the Moon. Then the Moon will conjunct Saturn tomorrow morning. This means the Moon will be approaching Saturn tonight. Locating Saturn and Sirius near the Moon can help you establish a relationship with this important area of the sky as Saturn will be hanging out in close zodiacal alignment with Sirius due to Saturn�s station retrograde near here. Saturn and Sirius are being activated by the Moon forming the power of three or a triune council for bringing forth new healthy forms of the Cancer mysteries. Sirius is the brightest fixed star in the sky apart from our Sun and has been called  "The Scorcher" or "The Shinning One" with an ability to make the mundane sacred, and to make the ordinary charismatic. This star marks the mouth of the constellation known as Canis Major or the Greater Dog. Entrusted with the wisdom and knowledge of an earlier and now forgotten civilization, the Ancient Egyptians believed that Sirius held the key to the destiny of their world, and to their own personal immortality. Their beliefs were based on a series of texts, already ancient in their time, which described special "Star Medicines" that resonated with the energy of Sirius and were capable of transforming their bodies into a higher immortal form. http://www.siriusrising.com/main.htm Saturn�s transit through here helps to formalize our ability to tune into Sirius in such a way that meditating on this star can help to shift our vibration according to the book Starlight Elixirs and Cosmic Vibrational Healing by Michael Smulkis and Fred Rubenfeld http://hilarion.com/stars.html The authors also indicate that the underlying message of Sirius is the immediate importance of transformation of the physical body. Tuning into this star assists in structuring a cellular transformational process. It is interesting to note that Saturn passes by this area of the sky once about every 29 years. This may be an especially useful time to sit in meditative relationship with Saturn, the Moon and Sirius and open to receive insights or messages about your own personal transformational process.

Week Of Oct 17 - 23 This week marks the waning last quarter phase of the Moon in Cancer. In the Hero or Heroine�s quest this Moon phase represents the crossing of the return threshold to the place where the journey began, returning with the gifts and boons gained for synthesis and integration. It also signals the time to begin looking at the new seeds to plant in the next cycle beginning with the next New Moon in Scorpio on Oct 25.

Oct 17, Friday. Mercury (18 Libra) sextiles Pluto (18 Sag) furthering the process begun in August of deepening the mental experience of who we are in relationship to the over pattern of life. This timing gives us clues about the level of empowerment now expressing through us especially in our ability to clearly communicating more of who we truly are.  These energies are continuing to integrate more deeply as we approach the Mercury Pluto conjunction (19 Sag) on Nov 24. Venus (10 Scorpio) squares Neptune (10 Aquarius) cautioning the Sorceress Shaman to be aware of any illusions she might be at the effect of and trusting her deepest gut instincts even if they don�t make logical sense. The Moon conjuncts Saturn today and the Moon is rising about a half hour after Saturn who is rising around 10:35 pm.

Oct 18, Saturday, This Last Quarter Moon (25 Cancer) helps to integrate the concepts and practices of self-care as the first step to truly nurturing and creating a safe space of peaceful acceptance for ourselves and others. Then Moon goes Void of Course (VOC) at 5:31 am Pacific time until late this afternoon at 3:41 pm when the Moon moves into Leo energizing the mysteries of self-love, self-confidence, self-acceptance and self-approval.

Oct 19, Sunday. The Moon is moving through the constellation of the Lion and will conjunct the heart of the Lion known as Regulus tomorrow. Tonight it is seen approaching this bright royal star, watcher of the North and linked with Archangel Raphael. The constellation of the Lion in the Great above is reflected by the Sphinx in Egypt in the Great Below reminding us of the divine codes we all carry within ourselves. Tuning into Regulus supports our conscious memory of the codes we carry linked to the �hall of records� within the Sphinx. It is time to remember our divine nature and that we are the radiant and shining ones awakening to walk the Earth once again. As the Hopi Elders remind us, �We are the ones we have been waiting for.�

Oct 20, Monday. Moon is moving into Virgo late tonight or early tomorrow morning energizing the archetypal realm of Spider Woman who is attuned to the natural seasonal cycles and rhythms of the Earth and Sky. There are many cycles within cycles that help support and guide our life path. Attuning and attending to the seasonal cycles is one way to learn more about ourselves in relationship to the unfolding pattern.  Today Venus at 13 Scorpio is moving into zodiacal alignment with the fixed star Zuben Algenubi (15 Scorpio) and is trining Saturn (13 Cancer) who is moving into zodiacal alignment with the fixed star Sirius (14 Cancer). Zuben Algenubi is located in the constellation of the Scales representing justice, what just is, and the balance point between yin and yang, male and female, Heaven and Earth. These stars of the Scales form a gateway, or a shamanic pathway between the worlds, accessing other realms and dimensions for the purpose of experiencing greater wholeness and awareness of our multidimensional selves. Sirius and Saturn assist in structuring this multi-dimensional experience in the cells of our body in a grounded practical and useful way.

Oct 21, Tuesday. The waning Virgo crescent Moon is approaching Jupiter in the early morning sky before Sunrise. The exact conjunction is happening at 6:57 pm Pacific time and the Moon will rise (around 2 am) about an hour before Jupiter. Once each month the Moon is transmitting the ancient Virgo mysteries attuned to the sacred rhythms of life and over this next year this is being magnified by Jupiter who is inspiring a renewal of vision in how these mysteries are manifesting in this time in ways that are the most useful and beneficial for all. When we are open to receive, hanging out with the Moon and Jupiter is visually inspiring and can help to facilitate this process. All of those who have Virgo planets on their chart are receiving some kind of expansion in relationship to the planet/s involved and the evolving Virgo mysteries. 

Oct 22, Wednesday. The waning Virgo Moon is going Void Of Course (VOC) at 6:19 am Pacific Time and remains VOC until tomorrow morning when it moves into Libra. In addition to this, Neptune is stationing direct and the Sun is trine retrograde Uranus signaling the slowing of Uranus to its station direct in November. These energies all come together in an in-between the worlds space where changes can be powerfully facilitated outside the rules of the current collective matrix. It may feel confusing and unsettling in this unknown territory but when we can relax and trust then it is possible for profound shifts in consciousness and awareness to occur. Pay close attention to your feelings and if they are irritable, out-of-sorts, uncertain, etc. then put off acting on them for the next few days. Give yourself permission to be with these feelings and let them teach you more about yourself. Releasing any judgments and accepting life on life�s terms helps to facilitate the changes and minimize the drama that may occur. It might be helpful to remember we are still unplugging from the old matrix and the new matrix is not yet fully in place. We are living in-between what is old and dying and what is new and birthing.

Oct 23, Thursday. The seasonal move of the Sun into Scorpio reminds us we have entered the part of the yearly cycle that honors and recognizes the death and rebirth mysteries. Death is a natural part of the cycle of life that in many ways we have lost an organic connection with and aren�t always comfortable engaging. Fear of death is a common experience. Practices of honoring the ancestors and our beloved dead reminds us of the gift death brings in supporting the continuing cycle of life. Many plants are dying now as their season is nearly complete and they are beginning to synthesize what is needed to create new seeds for the next cycle. This is a time of inner reflection and noticing what needs to die, what is ending, what we need to release and surrender, and what is beginning, what is preparing to birth.

Week of Oct 24 - 29 12-17 This Scorpio New Moon seed point (Oct 24, 25 and 26) is a timing for creating intention statements and/or prayers around our most passionate and alive heart�s desires allowing them an opportunity to find their healthiest and most useful manifestation without attachment to the outcome.

Oct 24, Friday. Mercury moves into Scorpio today where it remains for the next 18 days. Transformational messenger Mercury in Scorpio answers the questions of how the shamanic process of restructuring humanity�s destiny is progressing? What more do we need to surrender or unplug from in the old paradigm or matrix? Are we willing to let go of what we know? It might be helpful to revisit the movie �The Matrix� and now �The Matrix Reloaded� as a teaching about the process of unplugging from the current collective fear-based matrix that then provides the space for the creation of new life experiences based in greater conscious awareness. This requires a willingness to do the shamanic healing work of facing the fears that keep us locked into limiting life experiences. In �The Matrix�, this process does not take place over night, but requires conscious choice and willingness to continue to face the fears and apparent limitations present. The main character Neo, or �the One�, does finally master his experience within the matrix, remembering who he is, so he is no longer at the effect of what appears to be reality, but rather he is able to powerfully direct his own experience.

Oct 25, Saturday. This Scorpio New Moon (2 Scorpio) includes Mercury and the station retrograde of Saturn at 13 Cancer. This New Moon seed point is emphasizing the mysteries of death and rebirth, resurrection and renewal, and empowerment through the Shamanic Journey that calls us to face the fears that disempower us. The image of the Phoenix willingly diving into the fire and ash to be born anew brings to mind the ascension process, purifying and transforming everything into the light of divine love. Mars realigns with Fomalhaut (mouth of the fish and one of the four royal stars linked with archangel Gabriel) where it began its current journey on Aug 28. Oct 26, Sunday. The Moon occults Venus at the first Venus Moon conjunction since she rose as evening star symbolizing Inanna�s passage through the first gate where she retrieves the fullest possible expression of her life force energy. It will be interesting to see how the occultation of the Moon over Venus effects this timing. My sense is Venus in Scorpio is receiving previously held �secret knowledge� that will further facilitate her shamanic journey as she is returning from the underworld.

Oct 27, Monday. The waxing Moon moves into Sagittarius early this morning at 1:55 am Pacific Time and is aligning with the bright red star Antares tonight, marking the heart of the Scorpion. This royal star is a stargate portal accessing the transformative energies of the oracle designed to expand awareness and meaning in ways that support the fulfillment of our earthly journey. The Moon is transmitting the lineage of these mysteries through the Sagittarian energies of the ever-expanding quest for truth and meaning. These images are supported by the charge of the Delphic Oracle that says, �know thy self.� Visually connecting with or meditating upon the Moon and Antares provides a direct experience of these mysteries and what they mean for you personally at this time. What exactly is Truth? How has the truth been shifting and changing for you? Are you living the truth of your being more fully now than a year ago, or even a few months ago, or a few days ago? How can we live the fullness of our truth in every moment for the greatest benefit of all life? 

Oct 28, Tuesday. The waxing Sag Moon conjuncts Pluto this morning revealing the shadow issues around what we perceive and believe is the truth. The external truth is always changing as our perception changes. What we perceive as truth today may not be true for us tomorrow. Looking deeply in this window we have an opportunity to discover an ever-deepening meaning behind the old saying �The truth shall set you free.� If we have wielded the �sword of truth� with our heart�s based in love, integrity and pure intention, then we have the proper tool for cutting through the illusions that bind us to a limited reality.

Oct 29, Wednesday.  Today the Moon enters Capricorn and crosses the intersection of the ecliptic (path the planets follow) and the Milky Way where the December Solstice Sun rises near Galactic Center. There is only one time period in a nearly 26,000 year cycle heralding the Turning of the Ages when the December Solstice aligns with the intersection near Galactic Center. This Center of our Galaxy is a huge black hole that acts as a divine transmitter and receiver. The pure energy pouring forth from here may be utilized in our conscious co-creative process to amplify and transmit new programs of operation and awareness directly to the DNA. Once each month the Moon passes by here illuminating the ancient and future mysteries available now when we are open to receive them. 

Week of Oct 30 � Nov 6 The Aquarius First Quarter Moon window is Oct 30, 31 and Nov 1.  The waxing half full Moon represents the balance between light and dark and is the most visible growth phase of the Moon. This relates to the phase of the hero�s journey where he or she enters the zone of magnified power and is the best time to put our ideas and plans into action. The Moon waxes or gains in light until reaching its full phase in Taurus on Nov 8.

Oct 30, Thursday. Sun (7 Scorpio) trines Mars (7 Pisces).  Mars, unlike the outer planets is not retrograde when it trines the Sun having gone direct on Sep 26. This means the Sun, Mars trine has its own unique relationship alerting us to the time when Mars is again crossing the degree (10 Pisces) it stationed retrograde at in July. The Sun in this case is providing fuel and inspiration for the new Mars quest for compassion and the Holy Grail within. Mercury square Neptune.

Oct 31, Friday. The waxing Moon enters Aquarius bringing through the mysteries of the cosmic revolutionary experimenting with innovative ideas intended to accelerate growth and consciousness. It might be helpful to access new territory by questioning the rules and societal structures that are limiting and restrictive to creative expression, courageously inviting the changes that open the doors to new expansive and exciting experiences. In another words, this the primary energy leading the way in thinking outside the box.

November/December Preview� The total lunar eclipse of November 8/9, 2003 reveals a moment in time with echoes that are at least as provocative as the August, �99 Solar Eclipse and potentially more potent than the "cosmic stampede" in Taurus in May of 2000 or of any of a host of other "important" dates projected for 2003.

In addition to this being part of a 19 year lunar cycle the upcoming Taurus Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse or Harmonic Concordance forms a near perfect Grand Sextile/Star of David pattern in Earth and Water signs, featuring five planets Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn, plus the asteroid Chiron providing yet another opportunity for a massive planetary shift in consciousness. During this year, there will be a rare Galactic alignment that is being called Harmonic Concordance. This alignment will open a multidimensional portal of Divine Consciousness into the Heart and Mind of the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent Cosmic I AM�All That Is�This Galactic alignment will occur during the Lunar Eclipse on November 8, 2003, and will build in power and momentum until the Solar Eclipse on November 23, 2003.

Earth re-enters the Photon Band Dec 2, 2003 remaining until July 9, 2004. Out of seemingly nowhere a few days ago I got a strong message to include information about the Photon Band�Earth is now traveling through this band for more than six months each year and is another indicator of the increased light energy assisting us in these transformational times.
