A NEW MOON TO NOT IGNORE 12Aquarius20

A Final Saturn Square Uranus Seed Point, A US Chart Update, and an Important Sabian Symbol

By Daniel Giamario

First, an update concerning the nearly two years long Saturn square Uranus, and this lunation (Feb.8,2021-Oct.23,2022).  I see the New Moon at 12Aquarius20, and this lunation, as a potential turning point and a “seed point” that may well determine the greater global outcome of this transit.  The New Moon degree falls almost exactly at the mid-point between Uranus (direct) at 10Taurus53 and Saturn (direct) at 15Aquarius30.  The Full Moon in two weeks at 27Leo exactly opposes the US Moon. Saturn has been in alignment with the US South Node over the last year, and will soon arrive at a conjunction with the US Moon.  Which version of Aquarius?  Will it be an authentic egalitarian autonomy, individuality, and liberty?  Or will it be a collectivist top-down technocracy?  This year is about that choice.

As most know, the United States began its Pluto return a few weeks ago, but possibly overlooked is something I consider just as important—the second only US Neptune opposition.  The first one takes us back to the Civil War time.  Significantly, the US natal Neptune (22Virgo25) also squares natal Mars at 21Gemini22.  This lunation begins with Neptune entering a one degree orb to the Neptune natal opposition, as well as reaching the exact opposition degree just before the next New Moon on March 2nd.  On February 29th, Neptune (direct) will exactly oppose natal Neptune.  The final transit of Neptune squaring the US Mars was a few days ago on January 29th.

I have previously suggested that the entire Neptune opposition initiatory window (including the square to Mars) is from May 7, 2020 through December 4, 2022.  This includes three exact points: May 1, 2021, August 21, 2021, and this lunation, the last exact one on February 29th.  There is very nearly a fourth, later this year, on December 4th.  With the main theme here being bifurcation, there are a number of options.  As I see it, with all these planets direct, and this month being a “seed point”, and with this month’s Neptune aspects, including the last exact conjunctions in the natal complex, a number of possible lines of probability will emerge.  Many can find an easier ability to connect to the Celestial World, to feel the Ananda Love emanating from that aspect of the Sat/Chit/Ananda trinity, and directly know that all is well, and the Universe is unfolding as it should, through the direction of Great Mystery, Mother Gaia, and Christos/Sophia.  But if there is any trace of spiritual bypass, light polarization, or toxic positivity, many may fall even more into delusion, confusion and escapism, with a failure to see the realities happening in their actual Middle World life.  I am advocating that this lunation have the theme of:”Breaking the Spell”

I found Dane Rudhyar’s Sabian symbol for this New Moon/lunation to be of great interest, and I will post it here to assist in creating the “seeds of intention” and for your deeper inquiry:

PHASE 313 (AQUARIUS 13°): A BAROMETER.

KEYNOTE: The ability to discover basic natural facts that allow us to plan in advance for action.

Here we are no longer dealing with ascent or descent, but with natural laws which involve causal relationships and the passage of one natural condition into another. The barometer registers air pressure, and a change of pressure today gives some indication of what the weather will be tomorrow. In a sense this is the modern scientific equivalent of archaic prognostication through omens. Likewise, animals grow a more or less thick fur in early autumn according to whether the winter will be more or less severe. Planning for the near future is a possibility because the potential (or seed) of the future is already operating at the core of the present.

This third symbol of the sixty-third sequence tells us that it is most important to seek — by whatever means and at whatever level of consciousness — a knowledge of causal progression. In the broadest sense this implies an awareness of cyclic processes, and this includes astrology. The Keyword is ANTICIPATION.

Mars-Moon Conjunction – January 29, 2022

In the early morning sky, the waning Crescent Moon moves into a conjunction with the red planet at 3 degrees, 42 minutes of Capricorn, Mars on January 29th just as Venus stations direct with all of them in the same sign.

Capricorn is a very busy sign these days with several planets and now the Moon hanging out there.  Experientially, Mars is slowly gaining in brightness and momentum away from the Sun.  It will be a tiny red-orange point of light to the left and above thin Crescent Moon.  The much brighter Venus, hundreds of times brighter than Mars will be above and further to the left.

The Moon tends to astrologically activate the expressions and qualities of the planets and stars as it passes through on its way to becoming a New Moon a few days from now.  From what I posted last week when Mars entered Capricorn on the 24th:

Concerning more about Mars in Capricorn at this stage of its journey post-underworld, it is a time of maturing wisdom and knowledge.  This could be resisted of course by the masculine in those not able to grow and see beyond pride, profit and ego.

However, the opportunity is there for an instinctual assessment of what once was and now is.  It is a time to gather a full comprehension of the resources, systems and structures around to see what works and what doesn’t work.  The result is an intention to choose something that is beneficial for long-term sustainability beyond just the bottom line or the profit-margins.

Vesta is 6 degrees away and Venus about 7 degrees away from Mars in the sky.  This is really representative of how the shape of things to come in the month of February.  All of this activity in Capricorn is squaring Chiron in the sign of Aries, perhaps assisting us doing more than recognizing the wounds and traumas from the shadow of waging wars for profits and resources.

Vesta brings in a sense of the sacred for knowledge, wisdom and a deeper sense of responsibility for future generations.  The Mars/Moon conjunction can be a time to gather that deeper sense in our own actions and decisions for building our own future and that of our families and communities.

As this alignment builds up to reach a crescendo in late February and early March with Pluto, the depth of the synergy of the planetary stellium will become more evident.

Notes about Mercury, Venus and Mars

By Daniel Giamario

Quite an important threshold is reached this week in the beautifully unfolding dance of Venus and Mars in the morning sky.  Venus, having risen from the interior underworld earlier this month, is now radiantly brilliant, and still retrograde, until this coming Saturday.  This is the time when it is possible to see Venus during the day!  Mars, now also in the morning sky, is slowly brightening, having emerged from the exterior underworld (other side of the Sun) back on November 22nd.  On Wednesday Venus will enter a 10 degree orb to Mars; they will remain within 10 degrees of each other until April 13th.  There will be two exact conjunctions on February 16th and March 5th.  This morning star apparition of Venus and Mars within 10 degrees is the denouement of the current Rapunzel/Dumuzi saga that is taught by our school.  It’s where the prince and Rapunzel meet up after their time apart, and the “live happily ever after” part.  From a visible perspective it’s when the newly risen Venus first sights Mars, the ten degree orb being the traditional kinesthetic experience of a conjunction.

Now, it’s time to check in on Mercury.  On this past Sunday, at 2:28AM PST, Mercury and the Sun were conjunct at 3Aquarius.  This was the deepest, and most mysterious of Mercury’s alchemical transformation from overtone Libra to Capricorn.  This is the time in the Mercury synod when Mercury is retrograde on the inside track, between the Earth and Sun, which we refer to as the interior underworld.  Today at 7:05PM PST, Mercury enters Capricorn.  The process of transformation to the Capricorn overtone intensifies, until the process completes when Mercury turns direct on February 3rd at 24Capricorn23.  By that time, Mercury will be a visible Morning star planet.  It is noteworthy that this alchemical metamorphosis from Air to Earth, includes this passage through another Air sign—Aquarius, before the complete transformation.  The current Libran overtone, that began October 18, 2021, will have encompassed 108 days by the time that Mercury turns direct.  During this time, Mercury has passed through Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Aquarius.  The Capricorn overtone is, like Libra, a left brain expression of perception, cognition and communication.  However it involves the sensation function, and is far more embodied and practical than Libra.  It tends to be more realistic and overtly rational than the other-oriented, more personal, and more idealistic Libra.

It is noteworthy that soon, Venus, Mars and Mercury will all be easily seen in the morning sky.  And Saturn will join this celestial display by mid-February.  And, remarkably, both the new synodic overtones of Venus and Mercury will be in the sign of Capricorn.

Mars Enters Capricorn

By Erik M Roth of Inspiral Nexus

The fourth planet from the Sun enters the sign of Capricorn on the 24th, reaching the Galactic Center and the December Solstice point (one of the Galactic Crosses) within a few days of each other.  This is also an early indicator of the upcoming conjunctions between Mars and Venus as well as Pluto in February and March.

Mars will be only about 11 ½ degrees from Venus when it enters Capricorn.  This has an experiential potential of the beginning of another phase for the masculine and feminine to work together (or spiritually, the god and goddess) on something constructive and long-lasting.

There is a sense of two experts at different stages of the life journey meeting together to learn wisdom from the dying of one paradigm and slowly working to create anew while using any beneficial knowledge that may serve the future as well.

Venus recently emerged as a morning star as a bright beacon of solidity and helpfulness to that which is around.
