2012 Movie Review

by Daniel Giamario

I recently went to see the film “2012,” as I was curious about how they would treat the subject. Additionally, it’s part of my job description to know what is out there in the mainstream about this topic. First and foremost, it is a disaster movie to end all disaster movies. A big budget affair with enormously impressive special effects, and a big name cast, including John Cusack, an actor I generally like. Read More

OBAMA, HEALTH CARE, AND THE FATE OF MATURE IDEALISM

by Daniel Giamario2008 head shots daniel 122

Last year on Election Day was the first of five exact Saturn Uranus oppositions:  November 4, 2008, February 5, 2009, September 15, 2009, April 26, 2010, and July 26, 2010.  I have mentioned in past articles this can be seen as an ascending octave of the previous Saturn Uranus oppositions of 1964-1966.  I see this culturally as the encounter between mature idealism and universal values with hierarchical, patriarchal dominator control programs, sometimes known as the “culture wars”.

I envision these grand planetary dances through a dialectic model.  The November 4, 2008 and February 5, 2009 conjunctions are the thesis, the introduction and accent on hope and idealism represented by the election of the Aquarius-rising Obama and the vast outpouring of hope and good will throughout the world that happened at that time.  The September 15, 2009 conjunction as at the center point of the antithesis, representing the rising tide of big money, big pharma, the insurance conglomerate, the defense (war) establishment, and fear-based conservatives launching a counter attack on mature idealism and universal global values.

by Cayelin K Castell

Pluto Stations Direct Sept 11, 2009

In this time of the Turning of the Ages many highly significant and extremely rare planetary alignments have been occurring. September 11, 2009 marks Pluto’s station direct. Pluto’s stationary energy lasts for nearly a month before and a month after the exact station date with September 11 acting as the center point of this portal. This Pluto station direct (zero degrees and 39 minutes of Capricorn) is unique and powerful because it is occurring at the closest direct station to the December Solstice marker of zero Capricorn in 248 years. In 2008 Pluto stationed direct at 28 Sagittarius and in 2010 Pluto will station direct at 2 Capricorn 47. This year Pluto stations direct at 0 Capricorn 39. Read More

The Solar Eclipse of the Century and The Eclipses of July/August 2009

by Daniel Giamario

When determined by length (six minutes 39 seconds) and centrality (the umbra only 275 miles north of the center of the earth) the total solar eclipse of July 21 through July 22 is rightly called the Solar Eclipse of the Century. None will surpass it until 2114. This solar eclipse is part of Saros Cycle 136 that has produced the longest eclipses over the last several hundred years. The term Saros refers to a “family” of eclipses that repeat about every 18 years and 11 days. This particular Saros began in June of 1360 and finishes up in July of 2622, a total of 71 eclipses over 1262 years. This Saros cycle gave us the longest total solar eclipses of the last century, including the only three eclipses over seven minutes long in 1937, 1955 and 1973. Every eclipse in this family from 1901 until 2063 is over six minutes, a length justifying the title “Great Eclipse”. Read More

Venus Cycle exploring Aries April 3, 2009 to November 4, 2010

By Sao

On April 3 a very powerful Venus-in-Aries cycle began; it will continue for 584 days, approximately a year and nine months.  Because this is Venus, The Feminine Principle, this cycle invites and inspires women to explore and express a new, deeper, more powerful aspect of themselves, and this is equally true for men as regards their inner feminine.

This cycle invites us to summon the courage to be adventurous, to explore radically new ways of Living, and to trust The Very Spirit of Life. Read More
