Jupiter Conjuncts Neptune

FACEBOOK APRIL 11, 20

By Daniel Giamario

The much anticipated exact conjunction of Jupiter with Neptune is tomorrow, April 12th, at 7:42AM PDT at 23Pisces58.  There is a great deal to share about this, and I refer you to the Equinox seminar a few weeks ago for the larger story– https://shamanicastrology.com/march-equinox-2022.  I will share some of the highlights here.

This is the first Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in PISCES since March 17, 1856.  The pattern is every 166 years.  The next won’t happen until 2188.  Their last conjunction at the turning of an astrological age was in 113BCE, seeding a 166-year period through 54CE.  I feel that the exact conjunction (following the influence of Dane Rudhyar) is the seed point, like the “new moon” of the historical 166-year time-frame.  Like any new moon, this conjunction establishes the archetypal pattern for the 166 years to come—a Jupiter/Neptune in Pisces epoch.  If the one in 113BCE was part of the zeitgeist of the transition to the Pisces Age, this will be part of the even greater transition occurring now, that is of a greater order of magnitude than a shift into an Aquarian Age.  1962-2034 is a “Great Turning”, which also includes the convergence of many timelines: the end of Kali Yuga, the end of the “Fifth Sun” of the Mayan calendar, the end of a “Fourth Turning”, the 6th mass extinction, as well as the end and beginning of an entire 26,000 year precessional cycle.  What an amazing time to be alive!

Jupiter expands, activates, and amplifies whatever it forms a relationship with.  In itself, this characteristic? Process?  is neither good nor bad.  In the current case, Neptune in Pisces is the recipient.  What can expanded Neptune in Pisces mean?  Celestial world Neptune connects us with the universal Love force of Ananda.  When present, we can feel as though we are being ‘held’ by that Love emanating and pervading all that is, from the One Reality, in harmony with the Law of One.  The connection can be felt, not just imagined or thought about.  From this place, all is well, and the Universe is unfolding as it should.  From a Middle World perspective, however, confusion and delusion can also greatly increase.  Ungroundedness and unrealistic idealisms can lead to extreme spiritual bypass and light polarization.  The Piscean hunger for expanded and altered states of consciousness can lead either to self-realization or delusional madness.  This is particularly true if one is not remembering that our journey includes both evolution but also involution.  The Underworld part of this equation is, as always, surrender; here it’s the surrender of the limited egoic self, akin to the Buddhist perception that the “Self” is empty.  In Vedic language the Atman and Brahman are one.

As with any monthly New Moon, the ceremonial significance of planting a seed of intention is quite important.  The intentional visioning of this seed point can be seen to extend for 166 years.  This visioning process, that includes the creation of a new narrative, is so important now.  Various names have been given to this: “The Great Awakening”, The Greater Reset, Prime Earth, 3D to 5D, etc.  Our school uses “The Turning of the Ages”.  Each of us has a part to play.  For me I am not visioning the so-called “Great Reset”, as being promoted by a small group of scientific and corporate elites who think they know what’s best for us.  This is a delusional vision lacking any Piscean compassion or empathy, rather connected to the shadow of Aquarius.  Let us not be deluded.  I love the words of a song from 1967:

“I opened my Heart to the whole Universe, and found it was Loving”  –Roger Mcguin, the Byrds

Mercury in Taurus – April 10, 2022

FACEBOOK  April 10, 2022

By Erik M Roth of Inspiral Nexus

The “hard-to-sight” planet, Mercury, ingresses into the sign of Taurus late on April 10th.  Most people will not be able to catch sight of Mercury at this time but may begin to do so on the 11th just after sunset.  Mercury is currently sitting right on the ecliptic so under a very clear and flat horizon, we can see the -1.5 / -1.4 magnitude planet.  As April progresses, Mercury’s brightness will be less, but it will become easier to spot due to its separation from the Sun by late in the month.
Astrologically, Mercury’s entry into Taurus shifts the world mind from the instincts and fast-paced missions of Aries into a slowing down and appreciation of the beauty and sensuality of life.  Mercury is activating the physical senses more acutely to help us savor and take pleasure in the gifts in our life.  Being in the body and “feeling” into the sights, smells, tastes, sounds and touches is what Taurus is all about.
Mercury’s journey through this sign will bring it to a conjunction with Uranus on the 17th, stirring up the Uranian qualities of the unexpected and sudden (and sometimes dramatic) shifts in life.  Taurus also connects us to the conveniences in our lives and how much is sacrificed to have those conveniences.  Examples include being able to have most things we want with a few clicks or touches on a computer and mobile device.  From food to office supplies to gifts of any kind, we can sit back comfortably knowing it will arrive soon without having to drive or otherwise go somewhere to get it.  It definitely is a bit of a Taurus dream come true.
Uranus’ position in Taurus has been a disruption of our Western World conveniences and comforts.  Mercury may help us recognize (along with Uranus) a radical new approach that takes us back to the roots of Taurus in our relationship with Earth.  Perhaps we can find those pleasures in the gardens and mountains, stars and oceans and in each other?  Perhaps the pleasures and comforts we seek are right outside the door?  Or maybe we need to take a trip to remind our soul of its own pleasures in that physical realm?
Take a peek to see if you can spot Mercury this month in the west just after sunset.  Meditate on your own relationship with the physical realm and see where you may nourish your soul in the pleasures and comforts of Earth’s bounty.

Mars-Saturn Conjunction – April 4/5, 2022

FACEBOOK April 5, 2022

By Erik M Roth of  Inspiral Nexus

In the early morning sky, Mars moves into conjunction with the planet Saturn on April 4 (and 5th), 2022 at 22°24’ Aquarius.  This is the first conjunction for these 2 planets in Aquarius since March 31, 2020 at 00°32’ Aquarius.  In 2018, they were also conjunct at this time of the year, but in the sign of Capricorn on April 2nd.  In 2024, Saturn and Mars will conjunct again around this time on April 10th but at 14°40’ Pisces.  This year’s conjunction in Aquarius is further commentary on the last one in 2020, having emerged from the sign of Capricorn during the beginning of the pandemic and seed-point that it brought onto the globe.

The two planets are conjunct the two stars (Nashira and Deneb Algedi) of the tail of the Goat-Fish constellation, representing the transition from the watery domain to the middle-world earthen reality, a transition that is symbolic of our current Turning of the Ages.

Aquarius, in its essence, can help evolve our consciousness beyond the mold and societal constructs we’re deeply embedded in.  It can crack open the seed with a charge of the cosmic vision and sprinkled with novelty.  Meaning, something that hasn’t been seen or experienced is appearing on the scene beyond linear-constructive thoughts.

Mars and Saturn can bring in a strong cord of assertive activity and pushing through the limits and constraints currently in place.  This can create powerful tension that eventually will be released.  It also is a remark upon the state of the patriarchy and the masculine in general.

What feels like a slow grinding decay of the enveloping paradigm, is, actuality, moving faster than in decades and centuries prior.  It’s a matter of an awareness of the past and a higher-level perspective of how humanity is evolving across the board, including with the Earth and Sky.

The sabian symbol for this conjunction is Aquarius 23 (always adding one for a sabian symbol).  This symbol is a “big trained bear performs, sitting on a huge chair”.  What we can look at with this symbol is the fact that something powerful has been “trained” or “programmed” to entertain the people.

For Aquarius, this is a highly radical image and one that seems ready to “break free” from the chains of performance and its programming.  But it can also be looked at as something of the bear not knowing or realizing that it can be something beyond just a performer.  For Saturn in Mars here, it can feel like the foundation of this job the bear does can decay away with the insertion of new conscious awareness.

One of the more powerful effects from the pandemic and the last Saturn-Mars conjunction has been a powerfully massive shift in the workforce, especially in the United States and the rise of new unions at places that never had them.  There is a rise in fighting for equal rights among workers and in the social arena too.  Things are still fluid here, but its build up could expand even more with Saturn in Aquarius for another year.

Chiron Considerations

FACEBOOK APRIL 4th, 2022

By Daniel Giamario

Inspired by Dane Rudhyar’s view of the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Pisces as a “seed” point for 166 years see link HERE: https://shamanicastrology.com/march-equinox-2022, the Sun/Chiron conjunction (with Mercury) on April 1st has inspired a similar inquiry into patterns of Chiron. Both Chiron and Mercury are on the other side of the Sun, in what our school refers to as the celestial or universal underworld.
Chiron’s extremely eccentric elliptical orbit has a period averaging 50.39 years. An individual’s Chiron return will always occur somewhere between ages 49-51. Within that timeframe, Chiron spends the most amount of time in Aries (7-8 years), closely followed by Pisces and Taurus. The least amount of time is in Libra (about 2 years), closely followed by Virgo and Scorpio. The apogee and aphelion times (2021-2022) are always in Aries, and the perigee and perihelion times are always in Libra (most recently in 1995-1996).
Placing our emphasis on the Sun/Chiron conjunction now (a new Chiron seed point), this is actually the fourth Sun/Chiron conjunction since Chiron has been in Aries. There are eight of these before Chiron has its Taurus seed point April 20, 2027.

I am speculating that the first Sun/Chiron conjunction is the seed point for Chiron’s entire passage in Aries. That was March 22, 2019 (chart offered above). The previous Chiron in Aries seeding was March 23, 1969. This opens space for additional research. I will offer some suggested interpretations relative to this most recent Sun/Chiron conjunction, as well as for the entire Chiron in Aries timeframe of 2018-2026.

I have never emphasized the “wounded” part of the Chiron initiatory process. As influenced by my colleague, Dale O’brien, I see Chiron as a shaman centaur healer and teacher. By transit, and when found natally, he can certainly indicate where a wound or fracture point is, but is not the wounder. The fracture point is illuminated and then teaching and healing can be offered, whether we are ready to learn about it, or are ready for healing. If we are not, then events can conspire to get our attention.
It is significant that this fourth seed-point is occurring during the Aries over-story in the 26-month synodic cycle of Mars. Last year’s Sun/Chiron conjunction also happened within this Aries Mars over-story. Previous Mars/Aries synods happened October 11, 1941—December 6, 1943, and most recently September 28, 1988—November 28, 1990. More about this in our Mars seminars: https://shamanicastrology.com/events/events-and-classes-calendar.

I think that Chiron is locating a primary wound/fracture point of recent patriarchal Aries. This applies to men and women. In recent times, Aries and Mars have over-emphasized war, aggression, professional armies, the emphasis on “winning”, and the need for “good guys and bad guys”. Hopefully, the teaching and healing from Chiron, from the universal underworld, can provide a transformation of the Mars and Aries archetypes into a reanimated and revisioned approach to being a protector of the Earth, global humanity, and our families and children. May there be this seeding of a “warrior of peace”, with a concern for the many generations to follow. It can also be envisioned that the upcoming Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Pisces can assist in this necessary process.

Moon Conjunctions in Aries – March 31, 2022

FACEBOOK  MARCH 31, 2022

By Erik M Roth,  Inspiral Nexus

The Moon moves into the sign of Aries on March 31st and later conjuncts Mercury, Sun and Chiron on the same day.  It’s also a time of the Aries New Moon and then on April 1st, Mercury conjuncts Chiron in Aries as well.  These conjunctions activate Chiron complex that is about our medicine of chosen mission and purpose.  Aries Mercury operates with instinct and a “gut feeling” type of mind and can perceive in clear-cut fashion.  While it could be a great time to act in support of our mission, Chiron’s position suggests more of a time for stepping back, healing and resting.

For those that have any personal planets or points in the 7–15-degree range of Aries (as well as opposite and square Aries in the signs of Libra, Cancer and Capricorn) and perhaps know you are in a major Chiron cycle, this could be acutely felt during the March 31-April 2 time period.

Moon-Mercury conjunction – 9 degrees 24’ Aries (March 31)

Aries New Moon – 11 degrees 30’ Aries (March 31)

Moon-Chiron conjunction – 12 degrees 18’ Aries (March 31/April 1)

Sun-Chiron conjunction – 12 degrees 21’ Aries (April 1)

Mercury-Chiron conjunction – 12 degrees 22’ Aries (April 1)

Sun-Mercury conjunction – 13 degrees 11’ Aries (April 2)

Chiron is an asteroid-type body that orbits between Saturn and Uranus.  It relates to the “underworld” and symbolizes our fractures and wounds that are intended to help us create the medicine we need to heal ourselves and others as well.  Chiron in Aries can be about healing and grieving the wounds around what we have chosen as our life mission, but also other Aries-related things such as (but not limited to) pursuits to conquer something, wars, defending, rescuing and competitive activities.

Chiron can bring up our vulnerabilities in those areas and provide us with an opportunity for awareness of how we can begin the process of healing.  But it first means that we need to see and/or experience it in order to take action to grieve for a loss and heal something.  And that is not an easy thing for Aries to undertake, but it is an important part of its own journey.

To have these conjunctions take place at the time of the New Moon places additional emphasis on Chiron’s message about healing.  All of this takes place beyond the visible realm and only the Sun can be seen at this time, so much of this complex is interacting beyond our sight, but we can still participate in this New Moon and other conjunctions as this shares with us a beginning of new phase of our mission. Chiron and Mercury’s nearness suggests that beginning includes a healthy dose of introspection and clearing the mind to sense the instincts coming through.
